UPDATE (10 March): Thanks to a user who figured out the technical work, Update 1.8.2 with a fix is now released. If anyone has any technical info on all this or solutions btw, I am all ears. So I am afraid for now the only course of action is to wait and see if Apple makes any further changes to "un-break" it. That means whatever Scroll Reverser does, it can't reverse the momentum part of the scroll, which is giving the annoying "snap back" effect. It seems Safari is ignoring the direction of the scrolling input during the momentum phase of the scroll, and instead deriving it from some other source. The reason you don't see the problem with the other apps is that they don't attempt to reverse smooth scrolling, only discrete scroll wheels. Unfortunately, Safari on Monterey 12.2 breaks Scroll Reverser's method of reversing smooth scrolling devices - that is, trackpads and the Magic Mouse. However, neither of them can distinguish the Magic Mouse from the Trackpad - that has always been Scroll Reverser's speciality. With the standard 100-Sheet Automatic Reversing Document Feeder (ARDF), users can scan up to 79 color or monochrome images per minute. MOS and UnnaturalScrollWheels are the main alternatives to Scroll Reverser and both are very good apps. It can recover from sleep mode in less than 10 seconds and can print up to 33 monochrome pages per minute. But after browsing for a little longer the issue came back so I decided to post again as a last resort.I am developer of Scroll Reverser. I'm completely lost as to what this could be and I really hope you guys can help me out. It does happen with some games but I can chalk that off as being the game's fault. I get no frame drops and no weird flickering. This issue also does not happen while I'm gaming, even at 4k with every setting on Ultra. My monitors are 4k60Hz, and I often open an youtube video on that quality just to test and I see that the video is silky smooth, this problem does not happen at all. The interesting thing in all of this is that it only seems to happen in certain scenarios.

I have even gone as far as reverting to an old version of Windows because I thought the issue could be related to the recent updates. Now to the things that I have tried when it comes to software: I have tried turning freesync on, turned on hardware acceleration for windows, turning on/off smooth scrolling. i have to use a third-party program Scroll Reverser to fix that. I'm not sure if my displayport cables have shielding against interference, so that could be the issue I suppose. is natural scrolling that mouse wheel up scroll down business that can go to hell. The other hardware related fixes that I have attempted were: I have tried turning the computer on with only one monitor (I have a triple monitor setting usually) and I have tried multiple cables (4 different displayport 1.2) and an HDMI cable. I have already tried reversing back to my old GPU (I didn't change any drivers, I only changed the card itself) and the issue persisted, which makes me think that the fact that this started after I upgraded my GPU might be a coincidence. Now I am going to list the things I have tried in order to help you narrow down what the problem could be. The relaunch-on-wake implementation is now more robust. A small correction to the Polish translation.

I was able to record the issue using Action, I'm assuming that if I was able to record it then it means it can't be a problem with the monitors or with the cables, right? (This is because of a problem where macOS sometimes stops sending gesture events to Scroll Reverser after awaking from sleep.) Scroll Reverser now silently relaunches itself when your Mac wakes from sleep. The issue is more notable when there are images/GIFs moving around while I'm scrolling. The issue also happens in other web browsers such as Chrome and even Edge. Recently I updated my GPU and since then I started to notice some very weird flickering/lag/stutter which happens in multiple situations but it's most notable when scrolling through apps.
